The Pharmakon International Enterprises (PIE) has been carved out of its parent company, Pharmakons Inernational, which was originally established in 2003 for the import and marketing of selected animal health products and diagnostic reagents. The mission of PIE is to market R & D based veterinary diagnostics products by providing kits, reagents & equipment for undertaking sensitive, specific and rapid diagnostics to improve health of food and companion animals in this country. PIE also offers services for setting up new vet diagnostic labs in this country.
As regards the vet diagnostics products, the company works for marketing of kits, reagents and equipment for the analysis of clinical specimens, infectious material from poultry, large animals, & pets in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Some originators of various veterinary diagnostic reagents include IDvet-France, Charles River-USA, lillidale diagnostics-UK, GD Animal Health Services-Netherlands, VLA-UK, Biostone-USA GeneReach-Taiwan and many others. Thereby the company arranges all sorts of veterinary diagnostic reagents to cater the needs of local veterinary clinics, teaching institutes, research organizations and diagnostic labs. PIE also offers the consultation services for setting up Vet Diagnostic labs in this country.

AveeRose Laboratories, Rawalpindi
AveeRose Laboratory is also affiliated with the Pharmakon Group and provides the services of referral diagnostics to poultry and livestock farmers. The lab also extends post-vaccination and post-medication monitoring among domesticated animals including poultry.
IDvet, France
IDvet is a France based company dealing with the development, manufacture and marketing of diagnostic tests based on the ELISA and real time techniques for the detection of infectious diseases in farm animals. IDvet kits are used worldwide to control veterinary diseases as part of government disease eradication programs to detect zoonotic diseases and verify the effectiveness of vaccination campaigns to livestock.
GD Animal Health, Netherlands
GD Animal Health is a leading Netherlands based company dealing with the supply of diagnostic reagents of livestock and poultry sector. We procure the required reagents and also coordinate their PTS (Proficiency Testing Scheme) with local diagnostic labs.
GeneReach Biotechnology Corporation, Taiwan
GeneReach Biotechnology is involved in marketing iiPCR equipment and testing kits for diagnosing major veterinary pathogens in the field and/or lab set up. Their products equal in sensitivity to Real Time PCR and covers a wide range of application from fisheries to livestock and pets.
SPAFAS- China
SPAFAS-USA has a facility for producing SPF eggs in China, from where regular supply of SPF eggs is arranged for our clients in vaccine production and lab diagnostics throughout Pakistan.

A Director Marketing coordinates a team of marketing officers and sales assistants for coordinating the company’s distributors in various parts of the country for different diagnostic products.
At present most of the company’s business in poultry and livestock sector is covered by 3 major Zones throughout the country, where local offices coordinate the product sales, marketing and post-marketing follow up activities.

Dr. Naeem is the R & D Coordinator of the Pharmakon group. He is a microbiologist with 35 years of experience in the area of disease diagnosis and vaccine production with various national and international R & D organizations. He has been involved in coordinating multiple research projects with national, regional and international collaboration focusing on the development of better diagnostics and vaccines.
